There are 3 main forms of shipping to New Zealand: full container load (FCL), less than container load (LCL), and groupage (a Seapoe advantage). Seapoe's consultant team typically provides different shipping recommendations based on each client's situation and offers one-stop service.

Full Container Load (FCL) Shipping
If you have a large amount of furniture or bulky luggage to ship to New Zealand, or from New Zealand back to China, and the volume reaches 15 cubic meters or more, you may consider booking a dedicated 20-foot container for shipping (due to the irregular shapes of furniture and luggage, a 20-foot container can typically hold at most 25-26 cubic meters of furniture-type items).
FCL shipping does not necessarily mean the entire container must be completely filled; rather, it means the container belongs to you alone, achieving the highest level of security and privacy protection.
Common container types include 20-foot containers, 40-foot containers, and 40-foot high-cube containers. The main difference lies in the volume they can accommodate, and of course, prices increase accordingly.
Less than Container Load (LCL) Shipping
When your items are under 15 cubic meters, considering cost factors, it is generally not recommended to book an entire container directly. One available option is LCL shipping.
In a narrow sense, or as used in this article, LCL shipping refers to booking directly in LCL form with the shipping company, which allocates your cargo to a certain container shared by different shippers.
In a broader sense, the groupage mentioned below can also be considered a type of LCL, so sometimes the distinction between LCL and groupage is not strictly made.
Groupage (Consolidated Shipping)
Groupage can be considered a type of LCL shipping. The key aspect of groupage is that all cargo in the groupage container is owned by Seapoe's clients. Since Seapoe has a large customer base for New Zealand shipping, multiple containers depart and return between China and New Zealand every week.
The advantages of Seapoe's groupage are twofold: on one hand, it reduces costs and saves freight for clients; on the other hand, all cargo in the container is coordinated by Seapoe, maximally ensuring the safety of clients' items.
Because items are shipped together with other Seapoe clients to New Zealand or back to China, based on mutual communication, you need to wait for customer service staff to arrange the schedule and consolidate shipments.
